The numbers you can trust
Every calorie target, macro gram, and water goal is calculated using the same formulas published in clinical nutrition journals — not estimated by an AI.
Mifflin–St Jeor BMR
The most accurate resting metabolic rate formula for the general population (validated in meta-analyses).
BMR (male) =
10×weight + 6.25×height − 5×age + 5
× activity factor → TDEE
sedentary 1.2 → athlete 1.9
ACSM macro targets
Protein and fat are set by body weight (body-weight-based is more accurate than % of calories). Carbs fill the remaining calories.
Protein = goal weight × 2.0 g/kg
Fat = weight × 0.8 g/kg
Carbs = (calories − P×4 − F×9) ÷ 4
Fiber = calories × 14 ÷ 1000
Water = weight × 40 ml
AI knows its place
AI turns your words into food names; macros come from our Indian food database. Anything not in it gets a clearly labeled, editable estimate — never a silent guess.
“2 rotis, dal”
→ AI → [{name, qty}]
→ food DB → math
AI hallucinates. Math doesn't.
Adaptive calorie targets
Goals use percentage-based deficits — not fixed −500 kcal. A 20% deficit for fat loss scales with your size, so a heavier person gets a larger deficit and a lighter person doesn't starve. Your AI coach watches your weekly weight trend and suggests when to adjust — the same feedback loop used by apps like MacroFactor.
